Staff Spotlight – Cindy Black

Say “hello” to our longest standing employee, Cindy Black! Cindy has been with The Wellington for for over 24 years, answering residents’ questions, listening to their stories, and making them feel at home. She’s also responsible for assisting with activities and helping out with emergencies, when needed.

Before starting at The Wellington Senior Living, Cindy worked in the civil service industry for 40 years. Beginning her career in the UK, Cindy was stationed at RAF Bentwaters Air Station. After four years overseas, she was then transferred to Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, where she spent the rest of her time in the service. When she’s not assisting residents at The Wellington, you can find Cindy helping out at the Papillion Senior Center. At the Senior Center, she assists in making hats, scarves, blankets and prayer shawls for the sick! Cindy also enjoys traveling – specifically to the mountains!

Her favorite part about working at The Wellington is having the opportunity to meet new people. She takes pride in the relationships she’s built with our residents, and they love her for it! Thank you for everything you do here, Cindy. You’re a big reason why our residents feel so at-home!
